Chris:

This letter is in response to your letter received via UPS on 15 May 2007 requesting that I fax my response to you prior to16 May 2007.

You may call the meeting scheduled to take place on 19 May 2007 between  various members of MCDC sanctioned or unsanctioned, official or official, or  anything else you wish to call it. We did not ask for your permission, nor  do we need your permission to meet as individuals to discuss matters of  mutual concern. Furthermore, the group has made no decisions, made no  demands, and in fact has done nothing but discuss some lingering  organizational issues, sent you a list of those issues, and requested a  meeting with you to discuss, and hopefully resolve them.

Although I will not personally be at the meeting, it is only due to personal  priorities. I am in full support of the group and will be there in spirit,  and if possible by phone. For your purposes, I will attend the meeting. I  fully intend to stay within MCDC, however, with my present position, and  will not resign because of my attending a meeting of other Minutemen.

You, of course, can terminate me as State Director or Minuteman as you wish. I ask only that you, in your termination letter, if you choose this course,  clearly delineate your action and reason as I will want to give the NH  Minuteman organization correct information. They are great people and  deserve nothing less.

As far as I am concerned, this is an internal issue, and stays internal, as  it has to this point, within MCDC. If I am asked about this by others,  however, I will only give honest answers, as this is the way I am.

I sincerely hope that this matter is resolved amicably, before serious damage is done to the organization.

Ron Oplinus. Director NH Minuteman Civil Defense Corps

Ron,
I appreciate your response. You must understand that to protect the organization it was necessary to take the steps we did.You can certainly attend any meeting you wish as a private citizen. The meeting is not and cannot be deemed an official MCDC meeting. After the meeting and with my return to Phoenix on Monday I will begin to address the situation. We will then schedule official meetings to address concerns of those involved in  this mess -some will stay with us -some will leave, some will resign, a few  have been and will remain terminated. I look forward to your continued dedication and focus on the mission.

Chris,
You must understand. You were probably being fed bad or incorrect information by your snitch. Our only purpose was, and is, to address some long-lingering problems. Problems that were promised to be addressed but never were, spot decisions made by you and others in conflict with either the SOP or leaders decisions, leaders requests either ignored or just blown off, etc. Your heavy-handed actions over the past couple of weeks mirror past actions. Our meetings were held out of sheer frustration in trying to resolve some issues. All members expressed several times our support of and  desire to preserve MCDC, and of you as the leader.

Apparantly your snitch never told you any of that. This can still be resolved by your simply showing up Saturday to begin discussion on problem resolution.Otherwise you  can expect to be losing most of the participating leaders, the ones you  haven't already terminated - Experienced men who have given their heart and  soul to MCDC, and in return have been treated like immature pieces of drec. I urge you, or at least some of your staff, to attend the meeting Saturday  to begin the healing process.

Ron,
You seem to be the one ill informed. I have been attempting to have a vacation since the 4th of May. As soon as certain people knew I was in vacation they initiated the power move -ill advised. The heavy handed response was not initiated by me, but by the board, what remains of national leadership and our attorneys -I had no choice but to agree with their response -I feel it was the right move. You should have submitted your concerns in writing -you have my cell phone - I am the most responsive and approachable person in the country in my position. I have no snitch -don't play that way -I do have a majority of support from people in the organization who see the positive and are not easily led to distraction by conspiracy theorists and anti- government types. Don't you see the error of the ways of those who initiated this fiasco? You have been distracted. Submit your concerns in writing and stay tuned for official responses and meetings to be held over the summer -anything less will prove to be a waste of time. You don't know me -you only know how others who have a power agenda have characterized me. There is so many questions you need to ask those who have initiated this mess. There actions have led to their demise –the organization will not miss a beat and will continue to keep it's focus on the goal -those who you now follow have lost that focus -call your senator and look for my response next week. Don't you realize that those who initiated this meeting knew I would not be able to attend the meeting? This was premeditated on purpose -they knew I was on vacation and could not attend -they set it up this way -you are being deceived by the judas' who seek power and control.
Be careful.

Chris,

I'll just answer one point. We did know that you were on vacation, but would be back for the May operation. Thus you wouldn't have an excuse for not attending. That is how important it was to us to have the meeting. If I have been misled, then most of the other leaders have been as well.
