Chris, Since you still have not wrote back I can only assume that you do not care about the concerns the state leaders have and also do not care that it was not Bob Wright who initiated the meetings but us state leaders. The course of action you and Al are taking is going to cost this organization big time. Many state leaders who participated in the calls did not believe that it was as bad as we said but judging by your actions they fully see what is going on. Why do you insist on this? Are you intent on destroying MCDC? If you fully belive people are conspiring against you need psychiatric help. You think you are the only one who spends many hours each day involved in MCDC. What the fuck do you think us state directors do EVERY DAY? Why can't you at least respond to our email telling you Bob had nothing to do with it and was only trying to help the state directors. Are you willing to lose all these state directors and members because of your actions because that is what will happen if you keep treating these people this way. Thank You Pete Lanteri NY State Director Northeast Regional Director Minutemen Civil Defense Corps |
Pete,
In case you were not aware I have been on a 2 week vacation with my family -I have done some work along the way but for the most part i was looking for a little piece and quiet before I returned for a busy summer of work. This is why i have not responded to your emails.
I got wind of this meeting about 5 days in to my trip -before that time i had no idea there wwas plans for a meeting in Phonix scheduled for a day when i was not scheduled to return until late that night if i get back in time at all to attend the meeting.
I was also not aware of "issues" state leaders had - i was aware that national and the board of directors were having issues with some state directors and we had contacted them to resolve said issues -you were one of the states as Carmen has had issues with your accounting procedures.
The meeting was not santioned by the national directors -had this dealt with properly through courteous and typical business practices then Bob wright would have notified national directors -he would have needed a 3 out of 5 vote to schedule and conduct the meeting. A date that works for everyone would have been selected as well as a location. The invitees would have had their travel expenses covered and an agenda would have been drawn up. None of this was done -so thus no official meeting can be held. No one from national will attend this meeting and it will not be acknowleged.
If it was indeed stae leaders who initiated the meeting why did none of them contact and notify national directors that a meeting was necessary?
I spoke with Bob wright just a day before this shit hit the fan -why didn't Bob say anything about it to me?
Al has little to do with the course of action outside of agreeing that it was a low down dirty way to do business. It won't cost this organization anything big time unless you and the others' intention all along is to hurt this organization - I don't take kindly to threats, but then i also know how to deal with them after almost 6 years of guiding this organization.

I don't know what you are talking about Pete, how could me not attending an unauthorized and unwise meeting even come close to destroying MCDC? It can't be destroyed unless someone from within has the intention of plotting a terrorist attack _ i never made any comments about how much you, me or anyone works each day -I respect all who work hard for this country, this movement and this organization -no one said anything about that.
No one contacted the national leadership team to arrange a meeting. No one contacted the board of directors. There was no agenda -it was not arranged properly. The way it was done was in a pretty suspicious manner -what do you expect us to do?
I think you might step back and take a look at how you are treating the national team and the volunteers, members for creating a devisive situation -you have treated people and the membership with contempt -not me or anyone else.
look for more info on this next week once i return from my trip and get back to work.

Chris,
Hopefully, this email will help clarify recent events and put to rest any
idea that this is about defecting or trying to take over MCDC. We firmly
stand behind MCDC and it's goals, and you as President of this organization.
We would like to see this paranoia about a takeover subside and things get
back to normal so we can move forward as one organization.
It was never Bob Wright who initiated these conference calls but us as
state directors who contacted Bob about having a face to face meeting as
soon as possible. In talking to each other, the state directors realized we
all felt the same sort of frustration in moving forward and something needed
to be done to let national leadership know how we felt. We made contact with
Bob, Greg and Bill to help us in getting a face to face meeting with the
national team so our concerns could be voiced. In doing this we fully
believed we were only following the proper chain of command. As we see it,
Bob is the one to contact to initate this. In this process, some other state
directors may have been contacted by Bob, Greg or Bill to see if they wanted
to be a part of the meeting. Again, there was no malicious intentions on our
part but only concern that the organization was floundering. We have had
concerns about this directed to us by members in our states and it has
affected operations locally and on the border. We state directors feel it is
unwarranted to hold Bob Wright or others on the national team accountable
for putting this meeting together as they was just trying to help us get a
face to face meeting which we all as state directors felt was warranted and
long overdue. We have not had a conference call to discuss issues since last
summer and there is a real communication gap between national and state
directors. We all have issues that need to be taken care of and each month
has been passing by without much getting done. Again, we feel not one member
of the national team should be held responsible for this nor do we think
that there was any wrong doing. We state directors again ask you to please
attend this meeting on May 19th in Phoenix or if you wish we can hold it at
the Kings Ranch but this meeting needs to happen.
Sincerely,
Pete Lanteri
NY State Director
