MCDC-CA Growing and Having an Impact
=====================================================

Dear Fellow Patriot:

No doubt you have recently received emails from disaffected former MCDC leaders who are encouraging you to stand down and are more intent it seems on damaging our movement than strengthening it. That's a shame as there are indeed good men and women in that group. Trouble is, the battle we are fighting is not one amongst ourselves but at the borders, at the day labor sites and of course in our own Congress.

Here in CA we have adopted a policy of F-O-C-U-S.

FOCUS our attention on the matters at hand in particular BORDER SECURITY
Organize our efforts in order to provide maximum coverage of the border and interior enforcement initiatives
Challenge our elected officials to do their jobs and secure our country
Unite with other like minded organizations that have maintained THEIR FOCUS
Secure The Border

You'll notice that there is nothing in this statement that calls for us to "tear down one organization to build another" nor are we pointing fingers at HQ, a collection of hard working volunteers just like us, to call for some kind of "Mea Culpa". Have mistakes been made? Probably. We are all only human. What do we get by "eating our own"? Heartburn.... That and the bad guys win.

Here in CA we have built Camp Vigilance into a rustic but comfortable field HQ. We have grown in members by more than 200 in the last couple months alone (2,000+ members state wide.) We have several "in state" chapters that are doing great work and growing rapidly themselves. We put 7 members through advanced Professional Rescuer Training this month and have established our own Search & Rescue Team. We hold regular firearms training, have put our members through a course on dealing with snakes and other poisonous critters and that was just THIS month. We have an excellent relationship with the Federal and Local Authorities.

The easy thing would be to stay at home and blame everything on someone else. We hope for the sake of our country, you'll choose to get involved or stay involved in our efforts to secure the border and bring public scrutiny upon the greatest miscarriage of justice this nation has known in modern times.

If someone sends you an email and tells you things that sound crazy.....they probably are.

Friday night starts our 19th muster and we're having Camp Vigilance Chili and corn bread for dinner. Come on down and create some stories to tell your grandkids.

Semper Vigilans,

See You At The Border.

Stand down? - Never. The mission is real and must be accomplished. We (the terminated, maligned, and duped state and national leaders) are continuing our efforts to stop  the illegal alien invasion by marshalling our resources to monitor the border, demonstrate in the streets, and work with our legislators to strengthen our laws. We will do this without the umbrella of MCDC since it has openly demonstrated its:

1. Managerial incompetance - leaders were terminated for merely asking for a meeting to address long-standing issues.
2. Possible financial mis-management - No financial accounting available
3. SOP arbitrarily changed
4. Facing lawsuit regarding fraud in the fence-building project

Are we focusing on eating our own  and working to destroy MCDC ? Hardly. MCDC leadership is doing a nice job of identifying who and what they are without our help. We will not keep our heads buried in the sand or just look the other way, however, while MCDC leadersip maligns our character and treats us like lowly peasants ( terminated for having the audacity to ask some questions) while telling you that we are just a few disgruntled Minutemen out to grab power. He fails to tell you that we are the appointed state leaders of almost half of the organized state chapters, as well as some national leaders who have a long record of working for MCDC.

It sounds like you in California are running your own show so may not be depending on headquarters for your funding. If you or  your supporters are sending your money to headquarters for disposition back to you, you would be remiss if you did not ask for and get an accounting. We, the terminated, still want these problems fixed so we can continue the good work of the Minutemen. The ball is in the MCDC leadership court, and we hope that they stop throwing bullets our way and instead start throwing out answers to all Minutemen.
